Early Interventionist

Under the supervision of Stars Infant Program Supervising Early Interventionist, provides expertise and early intervention instruction to children and families enrolled in the California Early Start Program for San Diego and San Andreas Regional Center.

DIRECTLY RESPONISIBLE TO

Stars Infant Program Supervising Early Interventionist

SUPERVISION OVER

children and their families receiving services through Stars Infant Program. Interventionist will report performance of children during the evaluation process of each individual IFSP goal.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform Early Intervention Services with a caseload of children and their families, following Stars Infant Program procedures.Ensures compliance with regulations and timelines in all aspects of services including but not limited to the following:

    Perform Early Intervention Services with a caseload of children and their families, following Stars Infant Program procedures.Ensures compliance with regulations and timelines in all aspects of services including but not limited to the following:

    • *IFSP development, revision, review and ratings
    • *Appropriately administer and score using developmental assessment tools
    • *Complete a Progress Report in a timely manner of every caseload responsible for
    • *Implementation of goals and objectives on IFSP in a variety of community settings, utilizing developmentally appropriate and effective practices.
    • *Maintain accurate paperwork documentation and records of client files.
    • *Demonstration of a family-centered philosophy, and respect for cultural diversity.

    Attend and participate in staff meetings, training and in-services for Stars Infant Program.

    Demonstrate computer literacy to be self-sufficient in:

    • *Basic computer software such as: word, excel and power point
    • *Basic internet skills and appropriate internet practices
    • *Writing, finding, saving and printing documents such as progress reports.
    • *Ensure compliance with family confidential policies.

    Complete administrative paperwork including, but not limited to:

    • *monthly schedules;
    • *calculate weekly and monthly visits
    • *mileage/travel expenses;

    Become a member of the Infant Development Association (IDA).

    Complete Stars Early Intervention Training Program

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.A. degree in Education, Psychology, Child Development or related field
  • California driver's license
  • Proof of car insurance in employee's name and current address
  • Must be willing to submit driver's license and fingerprints for background check
  • Must be able to submit verification of legal rights to work in the U.S. upon hire
  • Must be willing to work full-time with some weekends
  • Salary depending on experience
